A. How to Buy Tickets
There are many tour companies in New Bagan throughout the city that sell bus tickets. The departure times and prices are slightly different, so it’s a good idea to shop around and compare. The map below shows where we bought our tickets.
There are electric scooters in front of the store available for rent and a sign with the bus times.

B. How to Get to the Bus Stop
The bus departs from the same place as incoming buses to Bagan. It’s close to the airport, and pretty far from Bagan City, so the best option may be a taxi.
Price: 8000 kyat (600USD)
The bus ride to Mandalay takes about 4.5 hours. Depending on the time of day, it’s safer to travel during the day than by night bus so it’s not dark when you get to Mandalay.
